JuneCreative Design… Design your own Landscape Quilt:

In this 2 day class, you will design your OWN LANDSCAPE QUILT, using one of your own enlarged photos.

We hosted June two years ago, and quilters have been asking for another class, so we anticipate this one will fill early. In this two day workshop, you will design your own quilt pattern and construct the top. June will assist you in elements and techniques to create your personal “one of a kind” quilt.

You will learn the use of color, value, intensity, and shape to keep the eye moving throughout the quilt. “Y” seams, curved piecing, and many other techniques will be covered in this relaxing “no rule” atmosphere. If you have started something and don’t know where to go with it, June can help you mas-ter that too. This workshop is designed for the intermediate and advanced quilters.

Dates for Creative Design are July 18-19, 2014. Teacher: June Jaeger, Cost: $100

1Beginning Machine Quilting: In this class you’ll learn a variety of ways to use your home sewing machine to quilt your OWN quilts! Colleen will join us from Pendleton to teach the basics of machine quilting. She is an excellent teacher and an excellent machine quilter too! You’ll start with leftover fabric or muslin “sandwiches,” and if you choose, then move on to your actual quilt!

We have a MAXIMUM OF 10 students, so get signed up ASAP!

October 31, 10:00 to 4:00; Teacher: Colleen Blackwood, $35.00.

Beyond Basics Machine Quilting: This class is the NEXT STEP for machine quilting, beyond the basics! You’ll learn to design, mark, and then begin quilting your quilt. Colleen will discuss needles, threads, marking, batting, pinning, etc. Basic machine quilting experience is a prerequisite for this class. You’ll need to bring a project quilt top (up to 45″ x 45″) that you’ll quilt in class. Again, a maximum of 10 students, so sign up ASAP.

November 1, 2014; Teacher, Teacher: Colleen Blackwood, $35.00.
